Namaste, everyone! I am Chani Chawda from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. I am a student of a philosophy called Madhyasth Darshan – Sah-Astitva-vad (Realistic View of Mediation; Co-existentialism), propounded by the revered Shri A. Nagraj ji. The study of this philosophy has answered many of my questions and guided me towards awakening by refining my perspective. It helps me understand reality, actuality, and truth, clearing my delusions and gradually forming a holistic worldview.
During my college days, when I first met Shri A. Nagraj ji, he spoke about contemporary economics, psychology, and sociology, highlighting how they lead to obsessions, agitations, and disorders. The meeting was deeply intriguing, and soon after, I attended my first introductory workshop on Jeevan Vidya, based on Madhyasth Darshan and Sah-Astitva-vad. The workshop redefined concepts such as knowledge, wisdom, existence, God, the purpose of humans, and methods of living. It made me realize that we, as humans, are currently in an underdeveloped state of consciousness called “animal consciousness,” which is the root cause of our problems. I understood that conventional education and man-made systems are not only incomplete but often misleading, causing confusion and detachment from true understanding and fulfillment. This realization led me to pursue the study of Madhyasth Darshan.
Engaging in the intensive study of Madhyasth Darshan under the guidance of Babaji (Shri A. Nagraj ji) led me to recognize the crucial need for humanizing education—an educational system that promotes the development of consciousness. In 2009, Sadhan Bhaiya, another student of Madhyasth Darshan, encouraged me to write poems and songs based on values for various age groups. Later, Babaji inspired me to translate the Chetna Vikas Mulya Shiksha books into English. This endeavor opened up a new dimension in my life, and as our work expanded, so did the CVMS English team for content development.
In 2011, with the support of a few families dedicated to alternative education and by Babaji’s grace, we co-founded Abhibhavak Vidyalaya. I became actively involved in developing and delivering content focused on consciousness development value education (Chetna Vikas Mulya Shiksha) for elementary students. Serving as a co-founder, teacher, and content developer has been a profoundly fulfilling experience.
“My son, Darsh betaji, studied in the first batch at Abhibhavak Vidyalaya in Raipur and later continued his education at Chetna Vikas Mulya Shiksha Kendra in Achhoti. He is currently pursuing a BSc in Food Technology at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun.”
