A gradual decline in the body and it stopped breathing on 5th March 2016. The
physical presence no more, the memories are still fresh, I try and piece together the 50
odd years still left to live this life, the 10 years I knew him for and the 3 years lived with him. I sometimes wish I had met him when he was younger. But nature has its own
pace. We can’t ‘fix’ existence. It is already fixed in some sense. And ‘dynamic’ in the
human sense.
This gets me thinking on what we need to keep in mind as we move ahead with
this vision. Babaji was straightforward. There was nothing hidden. If he had seen
something, he said he had. If he knew something, he said he knew. If he didn’t, he
didn’t. There were no in-betweens. With knowledge comes humility. This is something I
strive to remember, along with the living in coexistence adage – ‘letting live and live’ –
no impositions on anyone. Free of individualism and communalism. These are perhaps
some of few things those of us on this path need to maintain in our practice.
